A Review about Quntis Spot light-- Bright, Solar-powered and Easy installation

Hey, friends. Beautiful day here in Colorado. As you can see, the garden is starting to come in pretty great. We spend a lot of time picking up the right plants that survive the Colorado environment, but we're missing one important thing, and that's lights. Today, we're gonna take a look at a great solar light option and tell you why this should be your pick if you're looking for lighting up your front yard or garden area.

What’s in the box?

Now here's a couple quick product specifications for you to take a look at. You can see that you can get all the way up to 12 hours of operating time, depending on the amount of solar that it's able to collect during the day. The lithium battery is also included and then again, it's got that waterproof level of IP sixty five. Okay, so here's a quick look at everything you get.

As promised, there are 6 of these solar panel assemblies. Look at how big that led is. That is gonna throw a quite a lot of light. If a Guineas work as advertise, we've got a nice large solar fin to collect as much of that solar energy as possible during the day. We've got six stakes here that we can install for ground insulation as well as mounting brackets here if we want to put these up on to the side of a wall, we also have some instruction manuals that we can look at in case you need some help putting things together. A ground installation is obviously fairly simple here, which can take one of our lights, one of our stakes here. Basically, you just put it right in the base where that hole is. You're gonna twist a little bit to make sure it gets up and nice and snug and secure. And there we go. That is ready to be put into the ground where we want the spotlight to shine. Okay?

Spotlight without Wire and Electric

When you're picking lighting for your garden space, front yard especially, there are a couple options to choose from. Basically, you can go with something that's wired, which requires you to run all of your wires underneath your ground. If you don't want them showing, then you have to bring them all the way up to your house, maybe create a timer box so they don't go on and you forget about them and just leave them on all night. Or you can go with solar and solar is gonna allow us to get to all of these different garden beds, create some really nice lighting effects that show up at night with zero wires required.

Can I put spotlight putdoor in rainy and bad weather?

So this is the led solar landscape spotlights. Obviously, they're 100% solar powered. They're made by Quintus. These are actually ultra bright. We've got optical lens design. They have an IP sixty five waterproof rating and then there's an auto on and off feature.

How to install Qunits spotlight and weather is easy to install or not?

Now take note of what the ground looks like as you're installing these. As you can see, we've got a lot of shadow and the shadow is kind of thrown across based off of where the sun is. And this shadow is gonna rotate throughout the day all the way through this area. So you're not going to get 100% solar exposure during the day. What might be better is for us to bring it out just slightly and put it over here in our garden area, again, directed over into the tree so the light can shine in that direction. Now installing these in the ground is pretty simple. We just get that spike where we want it, kind of dig down a little bit. I find it kind of helps. And basically I'm just gonna kind of gently twist as I push down. Now, as long as your soil is fairly soft, this is gonna go in really easily. If you have really hard, dense ground, this may be a lot more difficult. One of the other ways to do this is to actually take the whole solar assembly off of the spike. Go ahead and gently tap the spike in using the top of this bracket. And then obviously we can just slide this right on top. Once we have this deeper into the ground.

How can I use spotlight in different ways?

Now again, something to note, these lights are designed to be spotlights. So you can either mount them up on a wall and have them shine down maybe on a grass area, or you can have them on the ground shining up to kind of give that at a lighting effect from the bottom there.

Now with spotlight style solar lights, what we want to do is utilize their ability to throw light up in a directional format and really highlight areas of our front yard or garden that we want to really make use of. And so for us, I think what we're gonna do is highlight this tree, you know, if we can get the light to shine up into the canopy, that would be pretty cool as well to kind of give some depth here with the light. So let's go ahead and find a spot where we can put this in.

Okay, so the second tree you want to highlight is this nice beautiful green one right in front. So again, we're gonna look for sun.

Does Quntis spotlight work well in night ?

Okay, now the nice thing about the auto on and off feature is that there's no settings you need to mess with. Basically, the solar panel is gonna recognize when it's getting darker, and we'll then turn on the light as soon as that light exposure gets below a certain reading. So you can just let them be. In fact, that's what we're gonna do. We're gonna let these things charge up as much as possible, and then we'll give them some testing tonight when it gets dark. Okay, it's evening time.

And as you can see, the spotlights are now illuminating the trees here. You can see the one on the Aspen over in that area. And then over here, you can see the one we placed over on the tree with Maxi. My shadow coming off the porch light.

The function of Quntis spot light

Now there is a little power button that will show you on the bottom. So there's gonna be two light settings. And what we can do is we can actually set this currently on the lowest setting, which actually throws some decent light. Or what we can do is we can come down, we can actually push that button, which is on the bottom right here. I'm gonna push it one more time. And as you can see, it gets even brighter. So there's two light settings again. The brighter one here is gonna last roughly 6 hours, while the other one is going to last roughly 12 hours on that low setting. Friends, these are decently bright. I am actually really impressed they're getting this much light just from this solar panel that's back here. So really good stuff. I'm giving this thing a thumbs up. Okay, quickly, I want to show you this toggle button. You can see it's down here on the bottom left. Again, there's three settings we've got off. If you click it on once, it's gonna go into that low light 12 hour setting. Click it again and get brighter, but only 6 hours on a full charge. Again, it's just like a little ball here that you push down to activate those different settings.
